Cloud Backend Engineer, mobile security SDK  (~80 - 90 k/y, Helsinki-FI, HYBRID)

We're looking for a total of three (3) Cloud / Backend Engineers for a client in the cyber security industry. The client is unifying two of its core products — their mobile Security SDK (used by global partners) and the product consumer app — into a single, modern platform. As part of this major product convergence initiative, we are looking for Cloud & Backend Engineers to support both the continuity of the client's existing SDK services and the development of a unified, integrated mobile security platform.

This is a high-impact opportunity to join one of two focused engineering teams working on either operational stability or architectural transformation. You'll contribute directly to the scalability, reliability, and integration of systems protecting tens of millions of users worldwide.

The two focused engineering teams are:

SDK Augmentation Team:

  • Maintains the current SDK to ensure quality, stability, and smooth partner updates — freeing senior engineers to drive architectural work.
  • 1 open position

SDK/Product Integration Team:

  • Builds and validates the new, unified platform — integrating mobile apps with SDK services and ensuring end-to-end system quality.
  • 2 open positions

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate backend services supporting mobile SDK or product platforms in AWS
  • Design and implement scalable APIs, integration layers, and activation models
  • Build infrastructure and automation pipelines using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CDK)
  • Ensure system observability, performance, and production readiness
  • Collaborate closely with mobile and QA engineers to support full-stack integration

We're looking for senior-level developers with a strong track record in:

  • Cloud-based software development, particularly in AWS environments
  • Python and Bash scripting in Linux-based infrastructure
  • CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure automation (e.g., CDK, Terraform)
  • API design and backend-to-mobile integration
  • DevSecOps or SRE-oriented environments
  • Fluent English and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Contract Details:

  • Start: September
  • Location: Hybrid –1-2 days/week onsite at customer office at Helsinki
  • Language: English
  • Full-time and temporary, option for permanent.
