Seasoned Data Engineer  (~80 - 90 k/y, Helsinki-FI)

Join our interesting customer development project team! 

In this role, you will design and develop data pipelines that enable business stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights. You'll collaborate closely with both technical and business teams, driving innovation and ensuring the success of complex data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines as defined in the product backlog
  • Design infrastructure for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
  • Drive internal process improvements for data delivery and quality
  • Conduct peer reviews and mentor junior data engineers
  • Translate complex business problems into efficient data solutions
  • Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize work
  • Share knowledge and actively contribute to a learning-oriented culture

What We're Looking For:

  • BSc or MSc in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least a few years of hands-on experience in data management
  • Strong SQL and Spark skills, plus proficiency in Python or Scala
  • Solid understanding of data modeling principles
  • Broad knowledge of data processing tools and information security
  • Experience with Databricks is a strong plus

  • Availability for on-site work once in a while (~0-3 days/week)
