Data Engineer, AWS & Snowflake (Banking)  (~80-90 k/y, Helsinki-FI, HYBRID)

Credit & Capital Data Foundation (CCDF) Strategic Programme aims at remediating ECB findings to cover major data gaps and to create consistent, trusted and governed data at correct level in the Credit and Capital area.

There is ongoing Task Force with Finance aimed at prioritizing BASEL Rewiring and other critical works within Credit & Capital Data Foundation.

Required Technical Skills:

- AWS Cloud / AWS Services development tooling (vital)

- BIG Data / ETL / Data Testing / SQL (vital)

- Snowflake (vital)

- Cloudera (good to have)

- Machine Learning (good to have)

Data Engineer in Information Capability domain for BASEL Rewiring would cover the following tasks:

- Translating functional and non-functional requirements into the high level solution design

- Defining detailed solution designs of all levels of detail and provide guidance to project team

- Facilitating works on business requirements with Product Owners, Process Owners and SMEs

- Collaborating closely with all stakeholders, other architects and members of project team

- Creating and reviewing documentation from business and technical perspective

- Handling processes, artifacts and documentation describing solution

Must-have knowledge and experience:

- Experience of working with technology implementation of large-scale enterprise solution architecture

- Understanding of modern application stacks incorporating both open-source and 3rd party vendor technologies

- Experienced with modern infrastructure and common integration patterns to support batch and real-time processing

- Understanding of data and information architecture including data modelling and common data management technologies

- Understanding of security requirements and experience with implementation of appropriate controls as part of solutions

- Modelling experience using solution modelling tools, notations and practices to facilitate modelling works

- Strong communication skills, including the ability to guide, build consensus and work as part of a project team

- Business acumen and ability to understand the banking business i.e. credit risk, credit portfolio management

Nice-to-have knowledge and experience:

- Hands-on experience in cloud data warehouses using Snowflake

- Experience with ETL pipeline development using Snowflake

- Experience in setting up CI/CD for ETL pipelines in Snowflake

- Experience orchestrating ETL pipelines
