Seasoned ML Data Scientist / Manufacturing  (~85-95 k/y, UUSIMAA-FI, HYBRID)

Note: This role requires regular on-site presence at the customer's office in Hyvinkää (approximately 3 times per week). 

Join our interesting machine learning / machine vision assignment in the research team of a leading manufacturing company!

The end-customer is seeking an ML Data Scientist to join and strengthen an experienced internal team of data science, software, and hardware experts.

The role involves working on an exciting project in intelligent equipment monitoring and predictive maintenance.

In this assignment, you will:

  • Develop algorithms and ML / machine vision models tailored to the equipment monitoring challenge at hand.
  • Productize these algorithms into MVP solutions that can be deployed in both test and production environments for real-world validation.
  • Post-process and analyze sensor and other equipment data, and visualize insights in actionable dashboard formats.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Solid experience designing and implementing ML and machine vision solutions, with proven deployment to production — ideally using IoT data.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of modern machine learning and machine vision techniques and tools.
  • Excellent Python development skills for analytics and data science, including expertise with: numpy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, scipy, plotly, tensorflow, and scikit-learn.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Ability and enthusiasm for data analysis and visualization to support decision-making, including building practical interactive dashboards (e.g., PowerBI, Quicksight).
  • Experience processing event data.
  • Familiarity with key AWS (data) services and tools such as S3, Lambda, Athena, and ECS.


Start: 01.09.2025

Location: Hybrid. Regular on-site presence at the customer's office in Hyvinkää (approximately 3 times per week).
