Senior AI Developer: GenAI, DevOps, Data Science  (~80 - 90 k/y, Helsinki-FI, ONSITE)

Join our interesting customer development project team | Helsinki (Hybrid). We are seeking 5–8 experienced specialists for the roles of Data Scientist, AI Developer, and DevOps Developer.

You will be responsible for developing generative AI solutions that leverage data to support the client's business objectives. The work requires not only technical development skills but also the ability to bring solutions into production and conduct A/B testing on their performance. The role involves extensive stakeholder collaboration, both in use case design and in communicating results, so excellent communication skills are essential.

There are multiple roles or combinations of roles available, and the final selection will depend on submitted proposals. The role may shift between responsibilities depending on the expert's capabilities during the contract period.

Roles

  • Data Scientist
    • Responsible for data analytics, machine learning model development, and business application of those models.
  • AI Developer
    • Focuses on building AI-based applications and features, combining software development skills with the use of modern AI models.
  • DevOps Developer
    • Manages cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD processes, especially in the context of AI applications. Ensures data and ML systems are reliable in production environments.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Good written and spoken English
  • At least 3 years of experience with ML programming using Python (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar)
  • At least 3 years of experience with developing and maintaining cloud services in production (GCP preferred, but AWS or Azure also acceptable)
  • At least 3 years of SQL experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD in cloud environments


Scored (Nice-to-Have) Requirements

  • Good written and spoken Finnish or Swedish
  • At least 6 months of experience with generative AI / LLMs (e.g., GPT-3/4)
  • At least 6 months of experience with AI chatbots or agent systems
  • At least 6 months of experience integrating ML models into software/services (e.g., via APIs)
  • At least 6 months of experience using cloud-based AI services (e.g., GCP Vertex AI, AWS SageMaker)
  • At least 6 months of experience fine-tuning pre-trained ML models
  • Understanding of generative AI and LLM architecture, embedding vectors, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) methods
  • Experience in deploying generative AI solutions into production, including model performance evaluation and monitoring
  • 3 years of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • 3 years of experience using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) in production
  • 3 years of experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • At least 1 year of experience with system monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
  • 3 years of scripting and automation experience (e.g., Python, Bash)
  • At least 6 months of MLOps tools experience (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Vertex AI Pipelines)
  • 3 years of experience with real-time data streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, Celery, Airflow)
  • 3 years of experience in cloud security and DevSecOps, including container scanning, secret management, and role-based automation
  • At least 6 months of experience using Apache Airflow in production
  • At least 6 months of experience with Redis
  • At least 1 year of Terraform experience, with Terragrunt as a bonus
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Associate-level cloud certification (Google, AWS, or Microsoft)
  • GitLab Associate Certification
  • AI Associate Certification (Google, Microsoft, AWS, or Hugging Face Agents)
