Assignment description

For our client in the bankiing sector we're looking for a IT Analyst / Legacy Systems.

You will support the decommissioning of legacy applications across Markets domains and decouple a big warehouse, getting consumers to the right target applications. You will play a key role in identifying and analyzing application consumers, understanding data dependencies, and driving end-to-end analysis activities that enable the safe shutdown of legacy platforms.

About this opportunity

As an IT Analyst / Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for analyzing application landscapes and identifying dependencies between systems, databases, interfaces, reports and downstream consumers. You will drive analysis activities from initiation to completion and help teams understand where data is used today and how it can be sourced from strategic platforms in the future.

What you'll be doing

  • Drive end-to-end analysis activities related to changing source system.
  • Identify and analyse consumers of legacy applications, databases and data products.
  • Map data flows, interfaces, reports and downstream dependencies.
  • Engage with IT stakeholders to understand current usage patterns.
  • Create and maintain inventories of consumers, interfaces and dependencies.
  • Support migration planning and decommissioning activities.
  • Perform data impact assessments and gap analyses.
  • Document findings and present recommendations

Who you are

  • We believe you are an analytical and structured professional who enjoys solving complex problems.
  • You have the ability to navigate large application landscapes and can simplify complex information for a broad stakeholder audience.
  • You are comfortable driving activities independently while also collaborating closely with multiple teams and stakeholders.

Your experience and background

  • Experience as an IT Analyst, Business Analyst, Consultant, Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Experience working with system migrations, application decommissioning or transformation programmes.
  • Understanding of data flows, interfaces and system integrations.
  • Ability to drive analysis work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience documenting analysis results and presenting recommendations.
  • Basic SQL skills and ability to analyse data structures and database relationships.
  • Experience with data warehouses, relational databases or reporting environments is considered an advantage.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture, data governance or system lifecycle management is a plus.
  • Experience from financial services, banking or capital markets is beneficial but not mandatory.
